There is so much negativity that exists in the world today, that when someone says something kind or positive, we find it difficult to simply receive it.
So, for example, if someone says: ‘Have a beautiful day’ or ‘It’s going to be a beautiful day’, the response to that will include – ‘What’s so beautiful about it?’.
Do you see what is going on around you?
Negativity has been dominating the world and many, especially the social media, have become driven by negativity.
II Corinthians 4:13 says: “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke’, we also believe and therefore speak.”
Words form, shape, create; and what we believe is what we speak. So, if you believe you were born for greatness, never stop believing and always keep speaking it.
Positive confessions release God’s will and purpose in the earth and if you don’t confess what you are hoping for, you might not possess it.
Negative confessions agree with the enemy concerning the bad things that are being spoken about you. (Matthew 12: 33-37)
Oftentimes, the bad things that happen are a result of the negative things spoken about oneself. So, if, for example, you believe and speak – “things will never change” or “things will never get better”, even to say, “man, business is just bad,” – then that is exactly what will happen.
Words Can Heal Or Hurt
If we are going to change our environment and change our circumstances, we will need to change our speech. The words you speak determine your future. Words bring edification or defilement. Positive words bring health and life. Oral confessions declare, confirm and seal the belief of the heart.
Negative and bad words affect the environment negatively. If they truly want to see change, then the media and social networks have to change their speech and focus.
Negative words send poison into the atmosphere which brings uncleanness. When God is going to bring change to a city or a nation, the first thing he does is change the speech of the people.
Negative words open the door for other things happening. In Numbers 13, the negative focus and complaints of the 10 of 12 sent to investigate the potential for forward movement and upward mobility, opened the door for fear, unbelief, doubt, murder, division and hopelessness of a people.
Negative words are contagious and bring extreme discouragement. There are times when people may be going through hard times, but they need encouragement more than money sometimes.
So if the news is continually negative, the media focus solely on the negative and the people constantly hear and express negativity, then what do we think will result?
Negative words bring serious wounds. People recover more quickly from physical abuse than from verbal abuse.
Focus On The Positive
We must endeavor to speak and focus on the positive.
Has anyone ever told you: “It just can’t happen. It will never work.”? Have you heard, “You will never have a child”, “You will never make it to the top”, “You will never amount to anything good,”?
All these are curses, and when people speak these things about you, don’t embrace them, reject those words immediately.
Declare these words daily and watch your mountains crumble.
I decree good news today. Favor and grace shall be my portion. I decree change in my community. I declare increase in sales and profit margins. I decree promotion for me today. I declare that I am righteous and holy. I decree that righteous leaders will begin to come forth. I decree crime reduction, divine tactics and strategy for crime reduction. I decree and declare debt write-offs and debt cancellations daily.
I decree comprehensive and divine direction.
Wealth and riches shall be in my house. Purity and tranquility shall be in my borders. Order and stability shall take place. I decree restoration of my family and other families, and covering for the children playing in the streets and those going to school. I decree that the airwaves and the print media will bring positive influence and change within every community.
I decree waivers from Government and that money will come into my account from unusual sources. I decree that the natural and human resources will begin to come forth and remain within this nation. I declare that I will create witty inventions. I declare healing for me, my family and my nation, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
