STEVE LYSTON | WE ARE IN A REVIVAL
With all that is taking place – viruses, locusts and natural disasters – we are also experiencing global recession. This is an indication that we are in the midst of a revival. The works and plans of man’s hands without God are coming to an end.
Many times, within the charismatic circles, people say “A revival is coming!” or that they are doing a revival. But God is showing this generation what true revival ought to be! Many may think that a revival is the manifestation of certain miracles which cause the preacher/teacher/prophet to become more popular or famous. However, true revival takes place when God becomes the central focus among the saved and the unsaved.
The meaning of the word “revival” is “an instance of something becoming popular, active or important again; an improvement in the condition or strength of something.”
Since the CoVid-19 pandemic, even the Bible has become a scarce commodity – as many places are out of stock! The desire to go to church, even in the midst of the lockdown – that’s revival! Prior to this, even when you begged someone to go to the House of the Lord with you, they would tell you how busy they were; and work, gym appointments, yoga sessions, and social functions always took precedence over Church. Now, everything that stood in the way of them going to Church services has been shut down and they are ready and willing to go to the House of the Lord to worship.
The Marketplace
The Spirit of Mammon that has taken over the marketplace, trying to legislate the Church out of the globe, and that has been persecuting Christians, subscribes to the New Age Movement and principles. Furthermore, many in our society – doctors, lawyers, educators, and the civil society, are no longer embracing God as they should anymore. Instead they embrace the New Age Movement and the Spirit of Mammon.
Now we see many freely turning to and worshiping the True and Living God without fear. The marketplace will never be the same; and now it will only prosper when they fully employ the Spirit of God and the Principles of God. Prayer will no longer be after the fact and in times of tragedy, but any time – 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and THAT IS REVIVAL! Revelation 18 is in effect and Babylon is fallen – and that is revival. Only those – according to Jeremiah 17: 8 – 9 – who put their trust in God will expand and prosper even in recession – that is revival.
The Church
Suddenly, the Church has been transformed – as a result of the virus. God has shown us that the Church is His Bride; and every man-made doctrine or agenda is being uprooted and Jesus Christ will be the center again. God is bringing everyone back to basics. Pastors who did not embrace other pastors based on the size of their church and popularity levels have been reverted to the home for a time of reflection. God is showing us that the center of the church should not be the acquisition of material things, but instead, the focus MUST be on winning souls, helping the poor, evangelism, genuinely expressing love for our fellow man and being the light and salt of the earth as God instructed.
Healing
With the world trying to create vaccines for viruses, the focus will again be on the Healing Ministry that Jesus Christ has given the Church. The plants and the fruits that the Pharmaceutical industry has been fighting will now come back to the forefront. Many have already begun to use these natural, unadulterated, unprocessed, God-given items to rebuild their immune systems. Scientists will no longer be gods; but God will be God for His people – and THAT IS REVIVAL!
The Books of Revelation, Zechariah, Daniel and Psalm 91, in addition to the Blood of Jesus, the Name of Jesus have come to the fore again – and THAT IS REVIVAL!
Revival
While writing this article today, the Lord said, “It is not if revival is coming – we are in the REVIVAL!” We have prayed for that! We have cried for that – because of the injustice! Now we are seeing the manifestation. We must renew our minds so that we do not pray against what He is doing, but instead pray for His will to be done! We will see His mighty hand this 2020. Watch from now until June 2020 for God’s mighty hand. He is leveling the playing field, and He will bring down great opposition, so that His people will cross over. He will bring down every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. That is why we must continue to pray that the revival continues. This is a God-Revival for His people and only He will get the glory!
