The 9 Gifts of the Holy is divided into 3 groups that I call Illuminative Gifts, Oral Gifts and Dominative Gifts. There are diversities of gifts but the same spirit. There are differences of ministries but the same Lord. (1 Corinthians 12: 4 – 5)
The number 9 is significant and symbolizes divine completeness or conveys the meaning of finality. Christ died at the 9th hour of the day It also represents the fruit of God’s Holy Spirit – so the 9 gifts and the 9 fruits work together to get a harvest. (Galatians 5: 22 – 23)
A person can have the gifts, but don’t possess the fruit of the spirit and as such will not reap the necessary harvest they should.
The number 9 shows up many times in the Scriptures. For example, Peter went to the Temple in the 9th hour, Cornelius fasted until the 9th hour and so we see that the number 9 has to do with intercession. Intercession using the gifts would do wonders.
We see the word fruit, gifts prayer which bring harvest to the Body of Christ.
The Gifts
Word of Wisdom
The first gift recorded was the Word of Wisdom which is a Spiritual gift given which supernaturally discloses the mind, purpose and will of God as applied for specific situations. It also gives you insight and foresight for what lies ahead. For example, Joseph in the Bible utilized this gift mightily in order to come up with a plan for the famine ahead. Wisdom also reveals the best way that knowledge should be used. This gift is also good for judges, security personnel, and other leaders including Presidents and Prime Ministers.
Word of Knowledge
Knowledge which supernaturally reveals the past and present situation pertaining to a person or an event. For example, a person may stand before you and the Lord may reveal very important information regarding their past and present. This gift is very helpful in solving crime and violence or other health issues and other security issues.
Gift of Faith
The gift of Faith supernaturally goes beyond ordinary faith – whether it is saving faith. It means that someone with this gift trusts God without a doubt. They can also discern with extraordinary confidence. We need that gift now to deal with crisis and the pandemic.
The Gift of Healing
We all have the ability to lay hands on the sick and they recover. However, the person with the Gift of Healing supernaturally has the ability to deal with many sicknesses, diseases and disorder. They may have 100% accuracy in bringing restoration and healing to those who are sick.
Gift of Working of Miracles
The Working of Miracles is a manifestation of God’s powers beyond the ordinary course of natural laws. This gift will do what the natural man cannot do naturally. We need this gift in times of emergency and when things become impossible.
Gift of Prophecy
This is a divine gift that supernaturally reveals the future. It brings edification, revelation, insight and comfort. This gift is needed more than ever to prevent disaster, direction and much more.
Discerning of Spirits
This is the ability to discern which spirit is in operation – good or bad? It discerns demonic, satanic, false, fake and detects the true source of circumstances and motives, lies and deceivers. This is needed more than ever in this time of deception.
Diverse Tongues
This deals with speaking in and understanding different languages without having studied/learned them. So, God will give us many languages in order to receive and communicate a message from God to His people.
Interpretation of Tongues
Interpreting the meaning of different tongues declared within a public setting or corporate gathering, that the people may know the message spoken to the gathering in the unknown tongues, for the edifying of those within that setting.
So, it is critical for every member to seek for these gifts and utilize them in the end time, which will bring revival, save lives and bring necessary change for the benefit of all.
