STEVE LYSTON | KANYE WEST/KIM KARDASHIAN DIVORCE A SAD OCCASION

Kanye West at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival-2 and Kim Kardashian 2019

When news broke regarding Kim Kardashian filing for divorce from Kanye West, it brought several things to light.  It is a lesson for every Christian.  While the global media is having a field day milking the story for all it is worth, and lawyers licking their lips, it is a sad situation for 6 years of marriage and 4 children.  Undoubtedly, it has opened the door for great problems for them all as a family.

The Bible, in Malachi 2: 13 – 16 outlines that God hates divorce.  It also shows the seriousness of marital covenant.  When 2 people marry, God stands as a witness to the marriage, sealing it with the strong word covenant.

When a covenant is broken, there are serious consequences and negative occurrences.  Divorce brings violence and executes violence to God’s intentions.  Divorce is one of the problems that impacts climate change.

Based on reports in the media, as Kanye accepted Jesus Christ, they became unequally yoked in their beliefs – like a cow and a donkey going in 2 different directions.  Both will have different desires and view on a daily basis.  For example, Kim continued to go in the direction of near nudity while Kanye was demanding modesty.  They also had different views on parenting.  Kanye may have wanted the children to grow with Biblical foundation and go into the House of the Lord.  Kim may have wanted partying and make-up.  Kim may have wanted to live in California while Kanye wanted to live in Wyoming – living in a less popular, quieter place for the sake of his family.

As Kanye seeks to become the prophet and priest in his household, the leadership of his family unit is his responsibility, and Kim may not be ready for submission.  It is critical for both Kanye and Kim to have strong pastoral leadership over their lives to mentor them, as both have great purpose.  They should not be seen as stars but as souls and every effort must be put in place to avoid divorce.  This is an opportunity for Kim to leave and cleave to her husband so they can grow.  Kanye also needs to allow this season of stripping to happen to completely break him away from the world’s ways and allow himself to grow in God spiritually.  As a young convert, he will experience betrayal, denial and persecution, but it is the responsibility of every Christian to pray for him that he endures the process and fulfill his purpose.  He will go through a time of brokenness and rejection – even among Christians who believe that He is not a true Christian or that He is not trying.

It is people like Kanye and Kim that God wants to use in the end times, and if Kim allows God to use her and begin to walk in submission in this session and shift away from the Hollywood lifestyle, God will use her greatly to bring great change to many.

Every effort must be made to cancel final absolution of this marriage.

Prayer and Prophecies

While praying for them this is what the Lord revealed.

The Spirit of the Lord says they need a lot of help, especially Kim Kardashian.  Because of the divorce, she will be more affected by it more than Kanye and be very sorry.  She will have to be living on sleeping pills.  She will be influenced by family members to do things concerning their divorce, and it will cause the children to endure more of the suffering mentally, emotionally and spiritually.   Those family members will also want to turn them away from Jesus Christ, and turn them away from their biological father – Kanye and she will be pressured to worship in other religions which are not Christian.

God has chosen Kanye West to preach and teach the Word of God.  He has been given Revelatory Gifts that he has used in the world and now God wants him to use those gifts to build His kingdom.

He is not bipolar as many in the media think.  God will use him far and wide and it is critical for the Body of Christ to pray for Kim, Kanye and their children, as well as the families of which they are a part; that they will deal with the challenges ahead and fulfill God’s purpose – which is the most important thing in life.
