In the time of Gideon (in the Book of Judges), Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord continually, and there was no king in Israel, everyone did what was right in his own eyes, and deliberately served foreign gods. The people broke their covenant with the Lord, and as a result, the Lord delivered them in to the hands of various oppressors. So, each time they cried out to Him, then He would faithfully, send a Judge to deliver the nation – whether civil or military leader – to bring the people back to God in repentance; and to re-establish the broken covenant.
This scenario is comparable to the state America today.
America Needs A Gideon

Homelessness
Today, America has opened the door for the Midianites of today, to plunder the nation and its resources, bringing impoverishment upon the people of the nation. According to reports as late as March 5, 2022, the number of homeless in the US is estimated at 552,830 and rising. This number does not include persons living in their vehicles.
Hunger (Food Insecurity)
According to reports from the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) According to the USDA, more than 38 million people, including 12 million children, in the United States are food insecure. The pandemic has increased food insecurity among families with children and communities of color, who already faced hunger at much higher rates before the pandemic.
Recorded Disasters
In 2021, there were 20 weather/climate disaster events with losses exceeding $1 billion each to affect the United States. These events included 1 drought event, 2 flooding events, 11 severe storm events, 4 tropical cyclone events, 1 wildfire event, and 1 winter storm event. Overall, these events resulted in the deaths of 724 people and had significant economic effects on the areas impacted.
Mass Shootings
According to the Washington Post, there have been over 250 mass shootings so far in 2022.
Abortion
The CDC (Center for Disease Control) reported that up to 2019, there wer 629,898 legal abortions in 2019. That does not include those unreported or deemed “illegal”.
Furthermore, when a nation begins to riot in order to make abortions legal, the nation is walking on a tightrope without a net.
In addition to all this, the US Dollar is losing its power globally and 7 major countries are considering abandoning the US Dollar.
We are seeing disasters of every kind now hitting the nation and all these happenings are signs that the grace and favor that made America great once is now slipping.
