Do you realize that despite the blatancy of the various matters affecting the society globally, the majority of the Prophets today are not speaking to nor are they addressing the relevant issues of the day?
Prophets of God must understand Times and Seasons and what is required for a particular season. People need answers. They want to know the ‘whys’. Because the prophets are failing to deal with the relevant issues of today, the people are now turning to media personalities to be their gauge on topical issues. Otherwise, they turn to the psychics and New Age persons to help them determine what and how to deal with, approach, and even embrace the issues they face.
All the major prophets of the Bible as well as the Minor Prophets, while they spoke to the future, they also addressed the relevant issues their day. John the Baptist dealt with the relevant and controversial issues of his day. Elijah dealt with it also; not only did he confront, but he re-established altars and order and went hard against corruption.
Elisha and Daniel dealt with relevant issues.
Why are many of today’s Prophets of God afraid to deal with relevant issues such as injustice, bade governance, immorality, excessive abuse of power against the poor, crime and violence, Youth Unemployment and even the legalization of Marijuana especially regarding the Youth?
Are you telling me that God is silent on these issues?
Now we know why the cults are thriving, and why more people are turning to such groups. Prophets need to stop focusing on giving personal prophecies only and stop competing to see who is the most accurate! That is not the purpose of the God-given gift. They must instead seek the Lord for His Word on the issues affecting the wider society. There are so many accurate people out there today, but are you seeing any change. Even those with the spirit of divination can see, but only God can give the Word for change. Are the lives of the Prophets impacting anyone? Every Prophet of God needs to ask God, “What is the Job Description of a Prophet?” The relevancy of the prophets of old shook kingdoms!

Learn From Isaiah
Isaiah’s Prophecies did not just speak for future ages, he speaks as powerfully to our day as he did to the society of his day. He focused as a spotlight of holiness upon the sordid sins of Israel and Judah. He summoned his contemporaries to cease from their social injustices and their quest for carnal indulgence; their trust in arms of flesh, and their hypocritical orthodox religion. He warned of the consequences and judgement if sin continued. He spoke about moral and spiritual decline, secret places of pagan worship and the oppression of the wealthy upon the poor; women neglecting their families for pleasure and how many prophets and priests had become drunken and men-pleasers! Where are the prophets to cry out against the altars of Jeroboam and the reign of Jezebel within your territory? Where are the prophets to speak out about the false doctrines and heresies while Jeroboam loses respect for them all?
Prophets of God, it is time to get back to the Cross!
